James Bobby Sullivan was born five years after WWI to parents Frank Sullivan and Marry Butcher-Sullivan in Brooklyn, NY.

When Bobby turned three, Marry gave birth to his brother, Benjamin, who died two days after. He was raised as an only child.

Having a military veteran for a father, Bobby grew up under strict rules, though that didn’t stop him from breaking any.

Bobby grew up in downtown Brooklyn, getting into fights often with schoolmates.

While he struggled in school, Bobby was highly intelligent and showed excellent problem solving skills and mathematical skills. His only problem was applying himself, much to the frustration of his teachers.

Despite being a bit of a rebel rouser in his early teens, Bobby quickly sobered up after his father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Bobby shaped up and began to apply himself in school – his mother having taught him that a good education had the power to change his life.

Bobby graduated high school with honors and a scholarship to Harvard.

After his father lost his job due to the cancer, Bobby dropped out of university to come home to help his family.

Working two jobs, Bobby’s schooling was over.

Frank Sullivan soon passed away when Bobby turned 18.

2 years later WWII started, and Bobby enlisted to join the army.

Bobby spent much of his time on the front line and more time than he cared for digging trenches. Letters from home grew more and more infrequent.

Bobby was later transferred to the USAAF in Kansas, training to become a pilot.

The training that was given to the airmen stationed at the Kansas airfields gave Bobby the skills and knowledge to enabled him to enter combat in all theatres of warfare, to prepare him and the other airmen to defeat Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

It was during this time that Bobby met and fell in love with one of the rural farming-town locals studying to become a nurse – Annie Burnette.

It was May 4th, 1945 when Bobby and a few others were doing some routine flying when tornado sirens went off.

Before Bobby could land to safety, his aircraft was sucked in.

Neither he or the aircraft were ever seen again.

PERSONALITY
In almost everything he does, Bobby has an angle. Very rarely does he ever do anything because it’s the right thing to do unless he’s got something to gain from it. The only code he lives by is the same code as a certain Captain Jack Sparrow – “Take what ya can, give nothin’ back!” Being someone who makes a living off of illegal trade, smuggling, bounties, theft, and any and all number of questionable pursuits, Bobby won’t think twice about double-crossing someone – unless you’re a member of his crew.
Despite Bobby’s questionable merits, he has an uncanny sense of moral values in regards to his crew – those who live with him on the Rebel – GENISIS. While he refuses to
settle down and actively claims he’s not ‘family man material’ (which is honestly true) he thinks of his crew as his family. He will openly scoff and jest and make jokes about selling members of his crew or killing them after his next pay cheque, but in reality, Bobby would sacrifice just about anything for any one of his crew members.
Charismatic, charming, cocky, passionate and rebellious, Bobby has a talent for being able to talk his way out of, or into anything or any situation. Needless to say, he shamelessly uses this on women. He however lives by one rule: never mix business with pleasure. He will never peruse any sort of relationship or flirtationship with a member of his crew, and should someone new manage to become a part of his ‘family’ cards are automatically off the table for them as well.
Or so he tells himself.
Like any typical man, when shit hits the fan, his first instinct is to fix it – and if he can’t, he takes a time out. He retreats. Isolates himself, blocks everyone out until he’s thought things over and is ready to be done with it and move on. During the times when he needs his ‘piss off space’ (aka alone time) it is best to leave him be. He’s not the type to turn to the alcohol. But if he does, his crew knows to chain him up and lock him down – or else the alcohol becomes another count of indecent exposure.
When Bobby is pissed off he has not problems with yelling or cussing up a storm. But when Bobby is livid, absolutely furious, he becomes extremely quiet, voice levels out, and his expression is the definition of calm. There is no raised voice, no cussing – he speaks with perfect pronunciation and perfect clarity. Very rarely does Bobby ever reach this level of anger.
Overall, it’s very hard to bring him down and nearly impossible to embarrass him. Generally optimistic with a sarcastic realist view on life, Bobby Sullivan is a man who’ll either steal your heart or your wallet… or girl… or ship… or anything you have which is of value… To him.

If you're gonna try and be a stow away on Sullivan's ship you need to know two things: 1 - he will find you, and 2 - unless you have a stash of junkfood from Earth, he will boot your ass into space with half a tank of oxygen and tell you 'good luck.'
